Guide · Updated 2026

The honest AI body editor comparison.

Most "body editor" apps fall into two camps: face-only filters that stop at your neck, and manual slider tools that look obviously edited. Here's what each major option actually does in 2026 — and where PhysiqueAI fits in.

FaceApp

FaceApp is the most popular AI editor on the market, but it stops at the neck. It's excellent for face retouching, age filters and skin smoothing — and not designed to enhance your physique. If your photo is a tight headshot, FaceApp is fine. If it's anything full-body, FaceApp leaves the rest of the frame untouched.

Facetune

Facetune is a manual editor. You move sliders to reshape the body, which means results depend entirely on how careful you are. Subtle edits work; aggressive edits create the classic "Instagram warp" you can spot immediately. There's no AI doing the heavy lifting for you.

BodyTune

BodyTune is the body-focused sibling to Facetune. Same idea: manual sliders for reshape, slim, height. It's fast for small tweaks. The realism ceiling is low because there's no understanding of anatomy — the app warps pixels, not bodies.

RetouchMe

RetouchMe sends your photo to a human editor for a manual retouch. Quality is usually high, turnaround is hours, and you pay per edit. Great for a single hero photo, expensive at scale.

PhysiqueAI

PhysiqueAI is purpose-built for full-body realistic enhancement. It keeps your face, lighting and background untouched, and uses AI to enhance only your physique — at three intensity levels (Subtle, Natural, Bold) so it never looks fake. It's faster than RetouchMe, more realistic than Facetune/BodyTune, and covers what FaceApp can't.
